K-LAVA SALT, made from 9 times roasted bamboo salt, is proven to have anti-aging effects on the skin.
Hamyang, South Korea, July 20, 2023 – A study reveals the amazing anti-aging effects of Korean bamboo salt. Groundbreaking research by renowned scientists. Refined salt, sun-dried salt, sun-dried bath salt, Masada sun-dried salt, once-calcined bamboo salt, and nine-time-calcined bamboo salt are examples of salts whose effects on the skin have been the subject of research.
In this study, a thorough investigation of mineral elements, pH levels, OH groups and redox potentials revealed that K lava salt has the highest concentration of antioxidants and properties compared to other salts.
9x bamboo salt showed the highest ability of any salt used in the study to reduce oxidative damage from hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) treatment in an in vitro test of HaCaT keratinocytes. Its anti-aging properties were superior to other salts investigated. Compared with the control and other salt-treated groups, the 9x bamboo salt-treated group and the 1 bamboo salt-treated group had thinner epidermal thickness, better preserved sebaceous glands, and higher dermal collagen and elastic fiber contents.
Further analysis showed that the activities of cutaneous antioxidant-related enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) were higher in the 9× bamboo salt treatment group and the 1× bamboo salt treatment group compared to the other groups, similar to the levels observed in the control group. Conversely, lipid peroxide (LPO) activity and carbonylated protein levels showed opposite trends. The 9 × bamboo salt-treated group and the 1 × bamboo salt-treated group showed similar protein content as the standard group.
This study further revealed that 9× bamboo salt and 1× bamboo salt effectively down-regulated the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), while up-regulating the expression of tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2), SOD, and CAT compared to other salts at a concentration of 0.2% (p < 0). .05).
These breakthrough findings suggest that applying Korean bamboo salt in appropriate concentrations can effectively prevent skin aging caused by UVB photodamage. The results of this study give up new opportunities to harness the potential of bamboo salt in the development of cutting-edge skin care products.
